What this covers
This policy covers the Android and Windows versions of Shardbound, published by Neuvikon. The game has no server and no online mode.
What we process and why
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your email address and message when you write to us | Answering your support request | GDPR Art. 6(1)(f): legitimate interest in answering players' questions | Up to 1 year after the matter closes |
How data is collected
The only data that reaches us is the email you choose to send. Save and settings files are created automatically on your device during play.
Do you have to provide it
You do not need to give any personal data to play. Writing to us is optional.
What we do not collect
- Name, email, phone number or an in-game account. The game does not ask for a player name.
- Location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data.
- Advertising ID or device ID. The game's code does not read them.
- Usage statistics. The game has no analytics service.
Game engine and network
Shardbound is made with Unity. Unity Analytics, diagnostics and the other Unity cloud services are off in this project, the project is not linked to Unity Cloud, and the game's code opens no network connection. The Android version does not request the internet permission, nor location, camera, microphone or contacts permissions.
Android backup
If Android backup is on, your saves may be backed up to your own Google account. We cannot see that copy; you manage it from your device.
This page
When you open this page, the hosting provider of neuvikon.com may keep standard access logs such as IP address, browser details and a timestamp. See the site's general privacy policy for details.
Who receives data
| Party | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play | Distributes the Android version. Your store account and download data fall under its own privacy policy. | Global |
| Google (Gmail) | Email service where support messages are stored. | Global |
We use these parties only for the purposes above and expect them to protect the data to the same or an equivalent standard as this policy. We do not sell your data. We may disclose information where a lawful request from an authority requires it.
International transfers
Game data does not leave your device. Only if you write to us is your email stored on Google's servers, which may be outside your country.
Security
Saves do not build up with us. The files on your device are not encrypted and rely on your device's own security.
Deleting your data
On Android, uninstalling the game or clearing its app data deletes your saves. On Windows, saves are in your user folder under AppData\LocalLow\Shardbound Studio\Shardbound, and deleting that folder clears them. Write to us to have your support messages deleted.
Children
Shardbound is for players aged 13 and over because it has a dark theme and battles built around raising the dead. The game does not ask your age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children and delete it if we learn it belongs to someone under 13.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting earlier processing. Turkish users have the rights in KVKK Art. 11, listed on our data protection notice page.
Write to the address above with your name and request. It is free, and we answer within one month at the latest (30 days under KVKK). KVKK applications are made in Turkish.
Complaints
You can complain to us first. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO) or, in Turkey, to the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK).
Changes
When this text changes, the date at the top changes too. Significant changes are also announced in the product or its release notes. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
